Weekly Ride List Oct 22-28

What is your favorite ride?  Tailwinds Magazine has asked me to take over the calendar and I’m looking to find the best rides around the Southwest.  Personally, I have not had a chance to do many races outside of Arizona and would really appreciate your feedback.

That said, I “raced” last weekend in the Baja Ultra Endurance 100 in Encenada Mexico. I say “raced” because I was there to take photos and did ride the course, but finished at about 12 hours, 7 hours behind the winners.  It was the most grueling ride I have done, especially since I have been on only 2 rides since June over 30 miles.

If you want to check out the video of the race https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqjq8j5XPSM

And the photo album https://sonanddadphotography.smugmug.com/Sports/Baja-Ultra-Endurance-100K/

This list is a major time commitment and it is my pleasure to put it together.  All I ask in return for the list is that you remember I’m A REALTOR.  If you have a relationship with another REALTOR, I love loyalty and respect those relationships.  However, if not, or if you need a second opinion, Please keep me in mind.  Many agents spend money advertising for new business, others sit open houses or cold call.  My business is based on referrals from past clients and friends.  The less time I have to do traditional prospecting the more I can do for the cycling community.  For example: this list.

Ride on,

I DID NOT CONFIRM EVERY TIME, but did get in touch with most of the ride leaders and shops.  You should always verify times before you head out and remember these ride times are when the ride leaves.  Please show up as early as needed to make sure you are ready to roll out at the time posted.

RIDE AND EVENT DISCLAIMER

These rides are not mine.  I am only sharing the data.  The Damion Alexander Team  cannot guarantee anybody’s safety.  There are unknown and unforeseen potential hazards in every ride so you should  pay attention and take reasonable precautions.  I always use a helmet.  I think that Helmets are required when riding.  If you choose to listen to music during rides you should only use the headset in the right ear and keep the headset out of the left ear. Better yet, buy a FarEnd Gear earbud.  Communication is essential during all rides and having the ability to hear is a part of your responsibility to others.  Please also ride within your limitations. You are  not racing the Tour de France.  If you see someone  that is  not riding within their limitations or are becoming a hazard to others we should politely bring this to their your attention  Dothis for your and everybody’s safety.

Also, it is everybody’s responsibility to follow all traffic laws.  We are not lemmings.  Just because somebody does something foolish does not mean you need to follow.  Use your head and enjoy your ride.

THE DAMION ALEXANDER TEAM, DAMION ALEXANDER, AND ANYONE ELSE WHO CONTRIBUTES TO THIS LIST SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIM RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY ACCIDENT OR INJURY THAT OCCURS ON THSES RIDES.  EVERY PERSON IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF OTHERS AROUND THEM

WHERE DO ALL THE RIDES COME FROM?  These links and shops and clubs and teams and facebook and YOU.  See a ride that is missing.  Please let me know  Damion@DamionAlexadner.com.  Thanks

On Wednesday the 7th at the call to the Audience at the Oro Valley Town Council meeting I’m asking people to attend the meeting and show support for our trails and to call on the city council to look at alternative routes to accessing the trails and to create a permanent trailhead. Even if you don’t want to talk, your presence will be greatly appreciated.  For more details check out the event here.  https://www.facebook.com/events/1775319896074285/

THIS LIST IS PROVIDED AT A COURTESY OF THE DAMION ALEXANDER TEAM.  THIS LIST IS DEEMED RELIABLE, BUT NOT GUARANTEED.  WHEN POSSIBLE, CONTACT INFORMATION FOR THE GROUP RIDERS ARE PROVIDED.  TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND DOUBLE CHECK OR GO TO THE RIDE AND IF NO ONE IS THERE, GO RIDE BY YOURSELF.

Community Ride List July 2 – 8

The ride list is a little thin this week.  Looks like many of the ride leaders are taking some hard earned vacations for Independence Day.

As we do celebrate the birth of our Nation, I hope that you will take a second and reflect on how lucky we are to live in a nation that has so much freedom.  I know this year with the presidential race that it is hard to appreciate the other half, but it is the combined talents, knowledge, philosophies that make us a great nation.

Enjoy your BBQ’s, Fireworks, Family, friends and of course, Bikes.  ___________________________________________________________________________

TBC Circuit Race Part one.

Lets get this party started.  The early start.  There are nearly 2000 images to get through from the circuit race.  Today I need to prospect for new business for my real estate team.  However, I’d rather save the time and focus on the photos, for you.  So, send me a referral today and I can justify rocking through all the images.  Otherwise, I’m going to need to focus on my real job and leave the hobby for next week.

These photos are a major time commitment and it is my pleasure to take the photos and share them with you. All I ask in return for the photos is that you remember I’m A REALTOR. If you have a relationship with another REALTOR, I love loyalty and respect those relationships. However, if not, or if you need a second opinion, Please keep me in mind. Community Ride List June 25- July 1, 2016

Last Sunday hit a 20 year High in the Old Pueblo.  However, it has not stopped people from riding both on the road and mountain Bikes.  I find that a great way of dealing with the heat is to ride at 4:30AM. Finish before 9AM.  Go to work for a few hours and do what people in Tucson have done for centuries during the heat of the day. Take a siesta!

Tomorrow is a fun ride that benefits BICAS.  It is the 3rd annual “Hottest Day of the Year Ride” BBQ and Pool Party! An easy-paced benefit ride for those of us who brave the scorching Tucson summers, with fun stops to cool down and mingle. The ride ends at Menlo Park where participants will enjoy a family-style BBQ and take a refreshing dip in the pool. Quickly becoming one of Tucson most-anticipated summertime shindigs!

Community Bike Ride List March 12-19

I’m still trying to catch up, as you can see I’m working on the list at 10 on a Friday night.   I hope you have a chance to get out and ride this week.  The weather is perfect and your bike needs the exercise.  I

Monday we have a meeting for the Velodrome.  I have an idea that I’m really excited about that could potentially get a Velodrome downtown and way ahead of any prior schedule.  I’ve been talking with people all over the country and if the numbers ink out, I’m optimistic we can do it as soon as this winter or next year.  Again, just an idea I have, but it seems plausible.  Details to follow if the others on the committee buy into the concept.

Registration for the Tucson Bicycle Classic closes on Monday.  This 3 day race is the best racing in Southern Arizona all year.  I’ll be there all three days taking photos.

Thanks

Community Bike Ride List February 20-27 2016

This week the county installed a new stop sign on Mission Road at Los Reales.  This is about a mile after “the Shootout” usually starts to hammer heading south.  I’ve heard various ideas of how the ride should adjust for the new stop sign.  What seems to make the most sense to me is to keep the roll out until a few hundred meters after the stop sign.  This will allow everyone to come to a legal stop and not feel like they are being dropped before the ride really starts.

I’m sure that I’ll be writing more about The Shootout in the months to come, but this weekend I’ll be off at the Tolero Crit.  There  are races from Jr’s all the way up.  The action starts at 8AM and goes all day.   It’s fun to watch and if you find yourself on the Northwest side of town it is worth checking out.    It is as Casas Church at 10801 North La Cholla.

Save the date of April 15th for The Ride For Reading.  We are still collecting books and if you are interested in a collection box in your business, please let me know.

If you want to make sure you don’t miss the ride list, please email me at Damion@DamionAlexander.com and put Ride List in the subject/

Thanks

Community Bike Ride List January 30- February 5

Are you interested in a Ride for Reading Event?  It would include collecting and delivering books on bikes to local elementary schools.

The list keeps growing each week.   This weekend has some great racing with the UA Biopark blast crit and Oracle Road race.  On the MTB side there is a party at 24 Hour town by SDMB with a BBQ and Catalina Brewing Company Beer plus trail work on Sunday getting ready for the big dance in two weeks.  Both GABA and Cactus cycling have rides every day from beginners on  up.

Want to make sure you never miss a ride  You can also find it on BikePilgrim.com.    Please feel free to share the list and if you have a friend who would like to be ——————————————————————————————————————–

Thanks

Many agents spend money advertising for new business, others sit open houses or cold call. My business is based on referrals from past clients and friends. The less time I have to do traditional prospecting the more I can do for the cycling community. For example: these photo albums. THANKS!!!

Community Bike Ride List January 23-29

Since I am just re-sharing information here, I am torn between putting the ride list out earlier, but missing many rides or waiting until late on Friday when all of the weekend rides are posted.  What do you think?  Better to wait or should I send it out incomplete on Thursday or Friday Morning?

This list is a major time commitment and it is my pleasure to put it together.  All I ask in return for the list is that you remember I’m A REALTOR.  If you have a relationship with another REALTOR, I love loyalty and respect those relationships.  However, if not, or if you need a second opinion, Please keep me in mind.  Many agents spend money advertising for new business, others sit open houses or cold call.  My business is based on referrals from past clients and friends.  The less time I have to do traditional prospecting the more I can do for the cycling community.  For example: this list.

Thanks

Community Ride list January 16-23, 2015

It’s that time of the year that we have rides almost every day of the week.  The race season is also starting to gear up.  I put in considerable time this week tracking down many of the races, both on the road and in the dirt.  The real challenge is going to be what race or ride to choose as so many are on the same day.

I hope to see you out on your bikes.  Make sure to smile, I’ll likely be taking your picture and posting them on The Damion Alexander Team on Facebook.

Thanks
