SUMMARY:Youth Bike Camps
DESCRIPTION:Youth Earn-A-Bike is a bicycle repair course in which youth ages 8 to 18 learn bicycle mechanics\, practice problem-solving skills\, gain self confidence\, leadership skills\, environmental awareness\, and community appreciation. All while earning a bike! Over the course of the program participants will overhaul a bicycle earning credit for their attendance and participation.  At the end of the course students will demonstrate safe riding skills and take home their newly refurbished bike with a helmet and lock. Youth Earn-A-Bike is offered on a sliding scale from $25 – $200 per student. \n  \n\n \n

SUMMARY:BICAS Basic Bike Maintenance
DESCRIPTION:This one-time\, 3-hour course is designed to educate you on basic maintenance of bicycles in general and to help you get to know your own bicycle specifically. This course will help you learn how your bicycle works and what actions you can take in order to prolong the life of your bicycle\, as well as what to check for when your bicycle is not functioning properly. \nTopics Covered: \n\nSpecifics of your bike\nRegular maintenance techniques\nFix a flat\nAdjusting brakes and shifters\nDiagnosing problems\nSafety Checks\n\n*Please note: Students should bring their own bicycle to this class. Bike must be in general working condition. We gather at 6:30 PM and head out at 7 PM\, and it follows directly after the workshop so make sure to come by early if you need to work on your bike!
