SUMMARY:BIG WOODY RIDES
DESCRIPTION:The Big Woody course will start in Fort Tuthill and rip around Highland Trail before climbing onto Forest Service roads and connecting to Rogers Trail before heading back down into the park to finish on Soldiers trail. This is an intermediate course with a few technical spots to navigate. All categories will loop the same course for their given amount of time or distance. \nThe loop is comprised of the Highland Trail\, Soldier Trail\, Flagstaff Loop Trail\, Rogers Lake Connector as well as multiple forest roads. \nRiders will experience a variety of conditions and challenges while looping through Coconino National Forest. We hope you’ll join us for a fun and challenging ride in the pines! \n \n

Not ready for the Full ‘Pedal’? Try out the 15 mile\, Half Pedal\, ‘sprint’ distance. \nMTB not your ride? We have a 10 mile trail run for all of you runners out there. We will kick things off in the morning with some skills clinics led by pro enduro rider & owner of Adrenaline Coaching Stefanie McDaniels. We will offer different levels of clinics so there will be something for everyone. \nHave you been wanting to gain more confidence understanding how your bike operates as a machine? Worried about getting a flat on the trail or breaking a chain? We will offer bike mechanics sessions led by some amazing bike mechanics! \nReady to test your new found skills? Come race against your skills-classmates and other women in the afternoon. There will be a 10 mile and 20 mile race option to choose from. \nOur hope with this event is to create a welcoming\, positive environment to get more women participating in mountain biking events! Any person who identifies as female\, femme\, trans or non-binary is welcome to sign-up. \nAll of this takes place along side our Tonto Mountain Rides races.
