DESCRIPTION:Details\n\n\nRide Description: \nThis ride is not to be missed. The loop includes a visit to scenic Dove Mountain and the climb up to the Ritz Carlton Resort. We will pass by some of the most mature saguaro groves in the world\, lush green golf courses\, and have spectacular views of the Catalina Mountains. \nWe will travel southwest on the CDO\, then north along the Santa Cruz\, left at Ira\, right at Coachline\, and right onto Twin Peaks Rd. After the long climb to the Ritz Carlton we will descend to Tangerine Rd. and return to Christina Taylor Green Park via the CDO. We will make a stop at Savaya Coffee at about the 35-mile point. \nNotes: \nMeet: Christina Taylor Green Park on Shannon just south of Magee. \nStart Time: Arrive by 9:45AM for sign-in. Wheels rolling by 10:00 AM. \nPace: Final average 17-18 for B riders. 15-16 final average for C+ riders. Rolling speeds will be higher! Pace will be determined by the group on the road. \nTerrain: Relatively flat bike paths\, one climb of about 800 ft. \nTotal Elevation Gain: 1530 ft. \nTraffic: Excellent bike paths and bike lanes. Special attention is required as we cross I-10. \nRide Type: Social/Re-group. \nParking: Parking at Christina Taylor Green Park. DESCRIPTION:Details\n\n\nRide Description:\nThis ride takes us from Pousada Java in Green Valley to the Tubac Deli which offers some of the best baked goods in southern Arizona. We will mostly be using frontage roads and will make last minute modifications to accommodate the ever changing Border Patrol checkpoints. \nThere will be time in Tubac to wader around and take in some of the sights. Upon our return to Green Valley we can have lunch on the patio of Pousada Java. Normally we have a tailwind on the return. Fingers crossed! \nAs a GABA trainibb ride\, the only regrouping will be at the Tubac Deli. \nAdditonal Notes:\nRide Type: Training\nPace: Final rolling average 15-17 mph.\nTerrain: Just gradual hills\nTotal Elevation Gain: 1500 ft.\nTraffic: Frontage roads with some vehicles moving at up to 60 mph.\nStart Time: Arrive by 7:45 AM for sign-in and route rap.
