Camp Wood Road When exiting the Bar-Triangle Ranch onto Williamson Valley Road, the first mile and a half will be a neutral roll-out. The race will begin once the pavement ends and you turn left onto Camp Wood Road. This is a wide open gravel road that gradually slopes upwards before reaching a 7-mile, 1000-foot climb at approximately 10 miles into the loop. The Shootout The shootout is the Saturday morning group ride. The ride has groups of about 20 riders in the summer and well over 100 riders in the winter and spring. I'm going to be brutally honest... Road racing is seeing participation dropping. I have one reason I'd like to mention that applies to this page. If you are only getting promo out for a race weeks before the event, if at all, its not a surprise it has low attendance.  I know this was a summit velo race and they have disbanded, but it is on the ABRA site and has a date.
