Adaptive Cycling Weekly Tucson Ride

Tucson Adaptive Cycling Weekly Ride

Cycling really can be for everyone, and Tucson’s adaptive cycling community is a great example of that.

The Tucson Adaptive Cycling Weekly Ride gives riders with physical disabilities an opportunity to get outside, get on a bike and ride with others. A variety of adaptive cycles are available, including handcycles, recumbent trikes and tandems, allowing riders with different abilities and experience levels to participate.

The rides are based out of the Eduardo Aguirre Adaptive Cycling Center at Sam Lena Recreation Area, with access to Tucson’s paved paths and cycling network. New riders are welcome, and volunteers help participants find an adaptive cycle and fit that works for them.

This is more than simply a group ride. It is about making cycling accessible and giving more people the opportunity to experience the independence, exercise and community that come with riding a bike.
